Both your funeral home and the family can easily initiate a transfer of funds towards the cost of a funeral at any time. This includes if a campaign is currently active or after it has closed. Once a request for funds has been received, the transfer of funds will be initiated and contributions will be received in 2-5 business days.

Use funds for other expenses

During donation campaigns, the outpouring of support can exceed what is needed for the funeral service. If funds are left over after covering funeral, legal, estate, and other fees, families can decide the best use for the remaining funds. In the past, many families have chosen to use excess funds to help support others in the community by making a charitable contribution, creating a memorial scholarship, or simply helping a family member in need.

Once created, your crowdfunding campaign will be integrated directly with the deceased’s Book of Memories online memorial website. This makes it easy for family members, friends, and other loved ones to contribute to the campaign. Contributions of any size can be accepted directly on the obituary page as they complete other gestures of sympathy like leaving a condolence message or purchasing flowers.
