Do I need to have my own domain name?

Yes, you will need to have a domain name before we can launch your web site. FrontRunner Professional is a domain name registration company and we can register your domain name for you ($75.00 for 3 years).

Please Note: Many funeral homes believe that they have purchased and own their domain name. However, the web design company, in many cases, have purchased the domain name in their own name. This is WRONG, and you should have it corrected immediately.

Do I get email with Matthews WebSystem or Matthews IMS?

We have partnered with Google Mail to provide each customer 50 email accounts, and up to 2 GB of storage space at no cost.

A document that outlines the steps necessary to get start with Google Mail is available in our online manual.

Does the Matthews IMS run on our own computers?

The entire program is built using technology that requires our servers to operate. With our high speed internet connections, and large server infrastructure your information will always be available.

Will we need to install new software to run the system?

The only requirements for running our system will be to install Mozilla Firefox. Firefox is a web browser like Microsoft's Internet Explorer. It is free to download and simple to use. We have built our system to run on their plateform as we feel this creates a safer and more stable environment for our clients. The beauty of this system is that you will be able to access your system from any Internet enabled computer where Firefox can be downloaded.

Can I back up our funeral record information?

No, however we will provide you a backup of your funeral record information at any time that you request it. All backup requests are subject to a nominal backup fee to be quoted upon the request.

What do I do if the power goes out?

We recommend that you have your paper files and pen ready and available in the chance that the power goes out at the funeral home.

Most important is not to panic with the family present, just carry on as if nothing has happened when the power went out.

Does the virtual showroom have to run on a touch screen computer?

No, the virtual showroom program can run on any internet enabled computer. We do recommend that if you are looking to use the virtual showroom in a computer friendly environment, a touch screen enabled computer is a great addition to your facilities.

Do I have to start with everything?

No, we recommend that you begin by using the Web site from either system. After the Web site has been implemented and your staff feels comfortable with entering funeral record information, you can move on the next phase of the project.

Can the administration system be customized for my funeral home?

Yes, we can modify the administration interface to match your colors and logo. Please ask your FrontRunner Sales representative for more information. The cost is $1995.00.
